COUR represents design-driven objects of singular value.
Located on the historic Groenplaats in downtown Antwerp, COUR encompasses a residential showroom, an outdoor exhibition space and a vitrine. Large-scale exhibitions, organised on an annual basis and featuring contemporary designeres, artists and architects, feed into an ever-evolving collection centred around craft, functionality and sculptural forms. In turn, objects in the collection — which spans more than a century of design — often form the starting point for new editions by contemporary craftspeople.
Through concept-driven exhibitions, experimental publications and a small selection of design collectibles, COUR shapes new design narratives that unfold across multiple periods, genres and media, bridging past and present and seeding new concepts in the continuum of design history.
